In partnership with Mental Health Matters and Evergarden Psychotherapy, Creative Life Foundation is introducing two much-needed new projects. Mental Health Matters is a fundraising and advocacy campaign with the goal of raising funds and awareness for mental health care. In the greater Boston area we will focus on providing quality psychotherapy for high-risk and low-resourced teens. In Thailand we will develop therapeutic mentorship within our existing programs.
Mental Health Matters fundraises through subscription-based crowdfunding. We know that if everyone gives a little we can make a great amount of impact. We also know that community matters. Our subscription-based crowdfunding model invites you to become a subscriber to our community and make a difference. Join us today.
Mental Health Matters
Awareness and fundraising for mental health care. We fund high-quality psychotherapy and therapeutic mentorship for significantly impacted, marginalized, vulnerable, and at high-risk teens. We create awareness of the mental health crisis and its underlying causes.
-
We provide high-quality psychotherapy to teens who have ‘failed’ out of the US mental health care system, these kids experience suicidal, homicidal, self-harming, complex diagnoses that require highly skilled and specialized care. They are often perceived as difficult and resistant. They often are unable to afford the quality of care and expertise that allows for them to heal and rather are paired with entry-level overworked clinicians without the experience to bring real therapeutic support.
-
We provide skilled therapeutic mentorship for at-risk and vulnerable teens globally. This includes; stateless people groups, asylum seekers, migrant communities, and otherwise marginalized people..
-
We develop and host training opportunities for direct care workers in the US and globally to strengthen the community infrastructure of care providers in each unique context.
-
We create advocacy events and campaigns to bring awareness to the truth of the mental health crisis and its underlying systemic causes.
Our subscription crowdfunding model allows for small manageable donations to make a significant impact. What you give is $17 a month
What you get is:
-
Knowing you are part of the solutions
-
Access to our weekly practice group. (A $100 value)
-
Community member access to Evergarden Psychotherapy's community page; the community page has vetted wellness provider recommendations, reading lists, podcast recommendations, psychoeducation/continuing education courses, archives of morning medicine sessions, and an invite to all community events

*100% of funds raised go to direct care, because of our partnership with existing entities no funds cover administrative or infrastructure costs
*specialized, what we mean by specialized care is that we have recruited experienced therapists with specialized training in working with the most difficult and 'resistant' clients. These clients want to change but the intensity of their nervous system dysregulation due to complex and deeply ingrained traumatic conditioning causes them to be pathologized and labeled resistant. However, highly skilled psychotherapists know how to work with this complex presentation. Our therapists are recruited based on demonstrated skill and success with these difficult cases. The teens in our program often come from low-income and under-resourced places where they have tended to be paired with underpaid entry-level clinicians who are not able to engage in the way that is needed.
